szabo was too young to win this race...but after this failed race...she won every important title.

@bobore7 No she didnt win the European Championships during her career, beaten in 1998 (by Sonia) over 5000m and in 2002 over 1500m by that Turkish drug cheat!

@jimbojimjimbo actually she won double indoor european champion titles. and don't forget that in 1999 she was declared by IAAF the best athlete of that year. every athele aspire to this supreme title and also...to the olympic title. Sonia was a great athlete, too...but Szabo takes the leading from O'Sullivan. They had their different own time. Although Dibaba or Meseret distroied the Szabo or O'sullivan records, this thing don't fade their legendary performance.

@bobore7 She never won the outdoor European title, something which Szabo said was the huge dissappointment in her career. Its the one title that alluded her.
