George Wilson was a man destined for the World stage. He had an unmatched enormous vocal range and tremendous stage presence. All who saw him perform and sing agreed. George Wilson is sadly missed by all. Ronnie G Shaeffer

One of, if not the best, voices to come out of Lancaster in the 60's. George Wilson also co-wrote Roamin Heart, which was recorded in 1963. The flip side called Feel Alright was just as good as Roamin Heart and should have been in the soundtrack for Animal House.

The lead singer of the Chell-Mars from Lancaster, Pa. was George Wilson, a personal friend of mine. Sadly he made only 3 records none went 'national'. He was truly one of a kind and I miss him each time I hear this tune or his others.. he was famous for covering Ruby Andrews "Casanova" (Your Playing Days Are Over) ... he could make you cry. There were as many people watching and listening to him when he sang live as there were people dancing. George you were an overlooked talent & we miss you!
