who would buy via shit? who wants to constantly worry about compatibility issues and bugs. via itself is equivalent to garbage. now you want to buy a system with a via processor, a pair of via chipset and a via gpu? i have had a motherboard with via chipset and it is the worst nightmare one can imagine. everything one can imagine that can go wrong did and then some and it cost as much as an intel mbs. I still hear stories about via now. don't buy.

wow, i wonder which motherboard this was cause since about a decade they only build ITX mainboards. Maybe motherboards and computers in general are a little bit too complicated for you... get an iPad and don't worry ;)

I got one. No 1080p and no 720p acceleration. No fullscreen Youtube video. Over 480p all video laging like hell, 50% or more frames droped.

This chipset is good for NAS, or torrent, but not for HTPC. No proper drivers, no support. sign petitoin: petitiononline com/vialinux/ No way to get HW acceleration, only a few format supported, but also poorly.

HTPC minimum: Brazos!

Was kannst du mir empfehlen um mein NC 10 aufzurüsten und fit zu machen für youtube 720p+1080p ?

720p Videos laufen flüssig, gibt da Tricks auch ohne HD-Beschleuniger Karte, ich kann sogar 1080p Videos ruckelfrei (MClassic) abspielen. :)

Aber bei Flash ist leider aus die Maus.

The VIA VN1000 would be better though it has the Chrome 520, a real modern integrated IGP. The VX 900 is still on the old Chrome9 HC3.

Let's hope they have a nice MIni-ITX board based on it.

@doct0rthrill I'd say that if you have a superior product than you obviously can. I for one would buy a complete Via solution for a netbook or nettop, as my current Atom eee just does not compute.

hell, when this comes out as 45nm this will be even more epic than it is now. And that will be an epic epic moment. Just hope Intel won't mess up this hw with their great and absolutely legal marketing strategies.

I found a powerconsumption of "around" 2 watts. Not bad if you know that it's chipset is 80nm vs 45nm for the atom.

If only they could invest in a 45nm processor and chipset.....
