  • This looks like a plasma cutter, not a laser cutter. Still cool, though. I would love to have one in my shop!

  • It is Real CO2 Laser. For US$200K you can have it.

  • @TheTakaraputo A plasma cutter initiates an electric arc between the material and the gun, so the material must be electrically conductive. Laser cutters use a beam of light, so they can cut non-conductive materials, as long as the material is opaque to the laser's wavelength (most are, including clear plastics). Many industrial laser cutters also have an air jet to blow away the melted/burned material, which makes them look like plasma cutters. I am still not sure which this is.

though, is there any different between plasma and laser cutter? i mean, both're using heat to cut, right?

  • Plasma cutter. Fayul on the title.

  • that is a Very Powerful Laser. stare at it too long and it will attack you.

  • @bkraz333 No, that's a laser. You can't cut that precisely with a plasma torch.

  • Really cool! Nice video.

  • Very nice movement on the laser. Sharp cuts.. not to bad on the eyes. Check out my waterjet.

  • I wondered where my laserpointer was gone...
