For the most part, only southern hillbillies put an R after an A for no reason. They'll say "warsh" instead of "wash". The other 95% of US citizens are just as confused about that as you are. Please realize that most do not want to be lumped into this small group of embarrassing people.
Anyway, the point I was speaking of is that the English tend to pronounce Mazda with a short A (mAzda) instead of a long (mAHzda). It's a Japanese name and the Japanese way to say it is with a long A.

Spelt "Mazda", Aussies struggle to understand the USA way of saying Marsda. We just cant understand where the "R" comes into play........??
