We got to the airport early because weather forecast suggested a turn for worse later in the span of the day. We tractored the glider to the opposite end of Blairstown for takeoffs on runway 7. On the first takeoff, he performs a simulated rope break over 200' with his instructor. They turn around and land on the airport. They went up for another flight.
They set up the glider for another flight and the instructor opened the back door and fiddled around inside but didn't get in. Daniels was like "aren't you gonna get in!?" and the instructor replied "nope, this one you'll do on your own." Because of taxiing airplanes it took forever to get to the tow but finally he was off. He took a tow to 3,000 feet, glided around a bit and then came back and landed. He had a congratulatory surprise waiting for him at the end!
haha, you dont run away from a drenching! you take it like the pilot you have become!
