@RRSKirkie if your talking about the back/foreground blur, its all to do with depth of field and the aperture size of the recording lens, its much easier to achieve this effect through a DSLR than a conventional camcorder. Google how aperture works and you'll have a keen understanding on how to get this effect :-)

@RRSKirkie ayee I've discussed it on the other comments and on the tagged section - it's an old Nikon D90 DSLR with a 50mm 1.4 lens. I wouldn't get that camera now though for video, so much better and less expensive options now =]
