@nickilovemc :) Glad I could help, even if it was laughter! For me it was a no-brainer (to have the hysterectomy), but I've been very certain about my no-buns-in-the-oven policy for a long time! I hope you come to the decision that's best for you and that everything goes well!

Hey, hope everything is going well. I had my surgery, taking 1 mg of Estradiol, which seems to be fine. Someone told me today, "Oh, don't take synthetic, take natural, blah blah blah." I said, "So you've been through this?" She said, "Oh, no, it's just what I read." Great. Someone who hasn't been through it. What do you take and did you have hormonal challenges? I seem to be fine, so don't wanna fix what isn't broken.

Thanks for the info. I'll be going in again to see my doc before surgery, which is the 16th. I'm actually READY. I mean, I guess you sort of have to be psychologically ready for this. But I really like my doctor. He did tell me that if I did not get my ovaries taken out, that they have a tendency to go haywire poster surgery, I decided on the full. I'm getting it done with the DaVinci robot. If you want to know more, just message me.

@DBCrowns I've still been having some health issues, but I've been muddling through it :) I got a new job a few months ago that's been a HUGE improvement on my old job, so I've been trying to stay positive when I start feeling like poop.

HI, I was just wondering if you know of an online support group I would be able to contact? Might be useful for others also? Thank a lot!
Dear Hanna,
Thanks again for posting your post surgery symptoms. Those are the things doctors don't really talk to you about ahead..

@Pezerella They don't! In fact, my doctor waited till after the surgery to reveal some major things to me. Not cool. But, everything seems to have worked out ok! I'm not sure if you were the one who asked about support groups---the only place I found when I was searching after my surgery was HysterSisters.

@sarkasm What did your doctor not tell you? I have gone to several doctors, and finally landed on one I saw 6 years earlier! I will see him again before the surgery, but that whole not getting shots or not having an IV.....mmmmmm...not cool. I can barely keep food down, let alone pills. I am getting a full hysterectomy done. Keep in touch. You're absolutely beautiful! Don't worry about your scars.

@liliodine Well for one thing, that I can recall, he waited till AFTER the surgery to tell me that it's possible for my ovaries to "die", shrivel up and stop working, I guess. Which sounds weird. I'm sorry you're feeling bad!! I hated feeling nauseous all the time! I hope you get some relief soon!

I'm thinking maybe you didn't get the IV pain drugs because your doctor doesn't give those for laparascopic hysterectomy. I did not have it done that way. They went through my c-section incision, so just the one big incision. Also, he took out my uterus AND cervix. So thankful that I had great drugs and 3 days in the hospital with the most attentive nurses a girl could ask for!

@shandi411 Glad you're doing better :) Why did they remove your cervix too?
