It's been my dream to paddle there for quite a few years now.
Shark finning is a crude business, witnessed it a few years ago in the Banggai islands archipelago.
Did you cross the open seas in between the islands by kayak?

There is one or two resorts. Try Papua Divers on their home page or Google it. It's very nice but not cheap.
