@DFarms001 Because some people are real farmers, not just throttle operators.

@DFarms001 Dont talk rubbish fella. When i do an 18+ hour day, I can say i did 18+ hours hard decent work. All you can say is " I got into my tractor, turned on the autosteer and watched Judge Judy all day on the laptop." Id be ashamed to call myself a farmer sure your not working at all your just along for the ride n to turn the gps on and off. And to upload your "hard working videos" on youtube. No one could drive that manually? I can say me or my guys could plough or drill rings around you.

@DFarms001 oh im sorry but i am a fourth generation farmer and i grew up not ever using a gps, yes i know that the world is moving forward in ag, but to really farm you dont need to just push a button. end of story
-
hey when are you gonna be out on miami trace road heading towards seed consultants
-
@NeedleInTheGroove1 Lol, well, you got me there, haha I guess I was right about you not being a farmer though, anyways, I don't really care about what you opinion on autosteer is (especially since I use to feel the same way.) I'm just saying you don't have to insult people about it. I noticed (now) you said "not as big as American farms" were abouts are you from?
-
@ThankGodImCountryBoy if you took the time to read my replies to dfarms,i never said i was a farmer. Im a contractor you idiot. We care about other peoples farms. Its why they pay us every year. You know nothing about me or what i do typical keyboard warrior. Get a life.

@NeedleInTheGroove1 Oh yeah, since you steer your tractor, you are better then everyone else, get real, I've never used autosteer, but driving a tractor is not what makes you a farmer, and the implement is more important then steering. You don't sound like much of a farmer at all, a true farmer cares more about his farm then anything else, all you seem to care about is your foolish pride. And if you want a hard days work, try picking stones, working with the livestock, and small square bales.

I hate people saying "a real farmer doesn't use GPS" I have not run a tractor with gps, but, here we don't do a sloppy job, when planting corn, we use to stop at the headland every time to make sure we did not overlap, with growing acres, the auto shut off is going to be a real time saver. A real farmer is someone who is going to do what is best for his farm, for his crops and yeilds. If you want to put in a hard days work, start plowing by hand, gps is the future, like tractors were in the past

i can say my dad would have givin his left nut to have the aid of gps nav system. plowing and diskin werent a problem but in planting. woulda made one hellova difference. alot better yield thats for sure...

I'm confused as plowing was using a moldboard plow. This is what we called discing. If you couldn't run a straight line planting on our farm you got your butt kicked by the old man. We had nothing like GPS or anything like that. But we only tilled 2900 acres in the 70's Nothing fancy like the farmers have today. 160 hp tractors, not 550 hp. Sorry but I really believe farmers today are spoiled.

@NeedleInTheGroove1 I know which video you are referring to and that video was uploaded 100% as a joke to one of my friends. I was not serious at all. I don't really think you fully understand the conditions I am referring to. Mind if I send you a message with a picture? There is no way you can manually drive a 40' (12.5m) drill and keep it within an inch of where you are supposed to be. If you are off one way or the other, you have no crop! And I don't have a laptop in my tractor by the way.
Nice vid but I don't know why anyone would buy a new tractor and not get auto-steer on it.
