John Jenkins' world is torn apart when he is video chatting with his girlfriend and realizes there is a stranger in her house! This is the full length feature film, "Wireless", shot entirely on the Canon T2i, with the Canon 18-55mm kit lens. For more information, feel free to check out the following links.

  • GOOD FOR YOU, DUDE! A feature fearlessly shot with the KIT LENS! Good movie. These kit lens are vastly underrated. Fuck Hollywood and fuck all those fancy expensive lens other filmmakers keep buying.

  • @conewells Thanks. To be honest, I didn't really know any better. It was the lens that I had, so it was the lens that I used. I didn't even know how to use it that well, I've learned quite a bit since I made "Wireless". Luke Neumann of Neumann Films is another filmmaker who has suggested that some people put too much emphasis on what lens they use and he has done quite a bit with his kit lens, or other less expensive lenses. Thanks for checking out the film and taking time to comment!

  • hi can this quality movie can be shown on big screen? in the cinema? That's shot Using T2i.

I am asking because i am an aspiring film maker. I want to make features for TV, but just in case movie is a hit and i get a proposal from distributors to show this on Cinema. Will it work?

  • @priyankeshu1 That's a good question. I'll be honest with you, I'm not an expert, but I believe that it can. I'm not sure what the process is for making 35mm film prints, but I'm pretty sure that a film print could be made from a digital file shot with the T2i. Theaters with digital projectors should be even less of a problem. A friend of mine premiered his film at a local theater and it was shot with an HV30, which has a smaller sensor than the T2i. So, I'm pretty sure the answer is "yes".

  • i also like how you did the thing at 12:20, instead of actually video chatting you just made a quick time movie... very cleaver

  • @crazyquinn121 That was just something I did in order help keep things organized. While the actors were interacting, it was just too much to schedule an actual video chat. This way I could do one side of the conversation, and then the other. Maybe not the perfect way to do it, but it was probably the only way to schedule things under our time table.

  • @Matthew13tube thanks for the prompt response.

nice work and best of luck !

  • @crazyquinn121 yes... yes it was. A downfall of using the T2i right out of the box, and using it to record sound directly. No monitoring the sound. While I did have an external mic and an mp3 player running tone to suppress the AGC, there was no way to monitor the recorded sound until after getting the footage back. There was TONS of background noise that I didn't realize until too late. It sounds weird because I tried to clean it up with digital filters, live and learn.

  • the audio in the coffee shop scene was kind of... wierd

  • @utube2353 Thanks! I've got one for you, if you want I could pull it off a shelf that holds all the copies and go "There's an exciting new DVD out... (my finger goes back and forth along the shelf containing the copies of "wireless"), Oh, here it is!
