the saint patrick's day parade in hartford on march 14, 2009. around 40,000 people attended, or so says FOX 61. i watched near the beginning of the route, across from the bushnell and the FOX news van that was recording the parade for television. it lasted around two hours, from 11am to a little after 1pm. it was freezing outside; next year we're definitely bringing blankets and gloves and hats and all that, unless someone can promise us it'll be warmer than 35 degrees.
