The elevator was way down when the plane took off and almost crashed. After trimmed right, it flew wonderfully. Very nice plane.

  • Update ive actually decided to use a purple power PPPO-2837-1120 because i got the airframe 2day and was fiddling around with my batteries and decided a 90g motor would be just a bit too heavy but this 1 still produces 310w only weighs 76g and i can use the hyperion 4s 1800mah 20c lipo i have

  • Mine is 3-cell, but I saw 4s on the similar sized plane before and that was amazing.

    Have fun!

  • the plane is so far an xmas present idea lol and the motor weighs 90g hows that compared to yours? its made by j perkins energ

  • Mine is 52.7g. Hyperion original Z-2213 motor comes with combo kit is also 53g. Yours is much bigger. It's like a V8 engine on Civic. I checked out Hyperion 25e series motor: Z30-19 weight. It is 142g. Since no models between 10e and 25e, I guess yours is still acceptable. Make sure the CG is right and enjoy!

  • As you said it flies very well. do you know roughly how many amps/watts you pull? am thinking of a setup which produces 37a, 1130g of thrust and 370 watts would that be good?

  • According to the BP Hobbies web site, this motor draws10.87V, 12.4A, 23.1 oz, 134.8W, 7920rpm with an APC 9x6E prop and 3 cell lipo,. The setting you mentioned is 3 times more powerfull than mine. Wow! Upload your video too.

  • It has a BP Hobbies A2212-13 Brushless Outrunner Motor with 9x6E prop. It's cheap ($16) but works fine.
