Windows is used by like 88% of the people who have a PC, and because so many people have it, they make virusses for it! if Mac was so populair, then the virus makers would aim on Mac! @homer5995 actually it's easier to write a virus for Mac that can turn the computer into a huge hunk of junk. There's a competition called Pwn2Own. It started in 06 or 07, and hackers attempt to code viruses that will take over a system, and since the year it started, Mac has fallen first, including one year where it got hacked in under 10 seconds the day after a "security" update.

@ultimatepowerpoint It's just harder to make viruses for OSX. In windows, you can execute code outside the boundries of your user. For example install dangerous software which affects the operating system and other users. As where OSX, on it's UNIX based core, sandboxes each individual user, meaning software aren't allowed to make changes to the operating system nor other users without explicit admin permissions.

pc users like PCs for their reasons

mac users like MACs for their reasons

its all based on preference, if you like a mac better, their is no reason to force other people to.

and, to pc users, i know the mac fanboys are pretty damn annoying, but you still have to realize, NOT EVERYONE IS A GAMER.

@trilintia um you forget that it is UNfair and UNequal that apple tries to make it to where a person can only install their o.s. on their programmed hardware and yet they CHOOSE to be hypocrites by saying " yeah we can let windows install on our stuff too" yeah..BULLSHIT..that's like the gov telling you you're not allowed to make copies of movies YOU BOUGHT AND OWN IN YOUR OWN HOME..yet they allow manufacturers and retailers to sell dvd burners...you're welcome..stfu and move on. ya lost..

@chronofusion Um you forget that its against terms of use to use hackintosh. It invalidates your license, so technically you can still only have windows legally anything else is straight up pirating cause you are using software. WIthout the creaters consent.

@chronofusion You fail to take into account windows can be installed into any hardware combination. But mac os on other hand can only be installed on extremely overpriced mac hardware already purchased a license for . While granted macs are great for out of box not experience needed type users. Anyone thats willing to open 2-3 different boxes and clip hardware together. Can build a pc twice as good as mac for half easy too its like legos any six year old can do it. Macs are for inept and old
