How to get free and natural looking wardrobe for your cast, secure and liaise with good locations and the importance of rehearsing key scenes and communicating via detailed callsheets using free production software.

All of this and more is contained in episode three of 'How to Make a Next-to-Nothing Budget Feature Film' a seven part weekly series that explores 40 key factors involved in low budget film production by means of interviews with principle members of cast and crew, excerpts from the award winning film 'Ambleton Delight' and behind-the-scenes footage and photographs.

  • so really this wasn't 6000 pounds if you include all of your equipment

  • @mogulkey Unfortunately not. Whether equipment or services are your own, provided for free, given as a gift or heavily discounted does not change a final budget other than make it less of course! The idea of any low-budget production is of course to make it as cheap as possible and by using our own equipment meant we could put more money towards the cast and crew. So yes, the final budget was £6000, but using our own equipment was only one factor among many that made it possible.

  • I really want to see the film when is it out?

  • @cruellordsoth -there are two more festival screenings coming up -Brighton Fringe Festival and it is also playing after the awards ceremony (Best Film winner) at the British Independent Film Festival 2010 in Bournmouth April 24. For latest info check our website/facebook/twitter....

  • @parkesproductions that's awesome we are also working on a feature film. I'm 15 so they're are many critics but with a good script and pretty decent equipment, I believe in myself

  • Andrew Elias 'really enjoyed getting call sheets'!!! You need to get out more.
