On the first full day of Railcamp 2010, our group took a trip to the Amtrak locomotive and car shops in Wilmington and Bear, DE. Included are photos and video I took on the trip, of various parts and machines in the electrical and mechanical buildings, and locos being worked on in the Wimington shops, and the various passenger car rebuilds, concrete tie disposal, and massive dead lines at Bear, plus a lot more.
Both songs are © joe satriani.

  • what loco is 579?

  • Love from Sunnyside Yards NYC. Oh and BTW we sent that sonofabitch Cecil Simmons back to you guys. You can keep the bastard. May he burn in hell.

  • This is awsome! Cant wait to go to Railcamp 2011 this summer!

  • @NSHammerhead Oh okay.Thanks for the help !!!!

  • @EmpireStateExpress01 the applicant is responsible for paying the entry fees. Railcamp should cover the transportation, but I dont have a set answer. However, it is possible to get a local nrhs chapter to sponsor you and pay the entry fee, I'm thinking they might cover the transportation costs as well.

  • @NSHammerhead Will they pay for you if you come from another state to the program ?

  • 522 and 724 were in philadelphia at the yard at 30th street station on September 4 of this year

  • @EmpireStateExpress01 the age limit is 9-12th grade, but particiapnts can be from anywhere in the usa.
