http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - Alexander Wang might be known for his downtown Manhattan style and slouchy basics, but this collection gave a little more oomph to all his urban chic. It's what he called fabric manipulation or "lacquering." Almost every single piece had a lacquer or sheen to it, including hoodies, tweed, trench coats, and sweaters. Leather and suede also had a coated appearance. There were fishnet turtlenecks pulled over the model's faces that looked like mesh coverups (as if the "manipulation" came out in other symbolic ways.) A luxurious finesse to an otherwise stellar urban line in the best that Alexander Wang has to offer. Also, some big models in this show that haven't really been elsewhere at NYFW including Anja Rubik and supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
