Unemployment rose to 9.7 %. It did not drop. I do NOT agree with this gentleman's rosey outlook. Housing is still in a depressed state. The government is spending like a drunken sailor. None of this is good. Our recovery will be years in coming....not months.
In his spare time he in a meteorologist. I have been to a TON of networking meetings and I hear two things: 1) Activity is picking up; 2) If you think the residential real estate bust was bad, wait until the commercial real estate bust.
I predict a 'w' shaped recovery. Have a job by Thanksgiving or it'll be a long 2010.
