She squirmed trying to get free from my grasp and only succeeded because we were wet. I grinned
and pushed myself back to the surface. She followed and wrapped her arms around my neck so she was
pretty much laying against my back.
"Swim me back to the beach." she half said, half asked with her bottom lip puckered out.
"Alright. Hold on tight."
"Don't worry. I am."
I couldn't help but to smile there, course, she didn't see it. That was probably a good thing considering
how cheesy I felt just then. Like one of those couples you see in the movies.
It took almost ten minutes to get back because I took my time, no real need to rush back to my brothers.
And, I had noticed my parents had arrived, making it even more difficult for us to get close. This whole,
keeping it quiet thing, wasn't going to work for long but I wanted it to be the right time and the right place
before we announced what everyone was just waiting for. They knew it was coming, just didn't know when.
When we'd made it back my mom and dad hugged eleanor as always and Frankie clung to her leg for a bit.
"Hi Elly." No one knows why, but he randomnly started calling her that and it just stuck.
"Hey Frankie!! What's up?"
She gave him a little noogie while I layed down a coupld of towels for us to lay on.
"Just can't wait to swim." He grinned.
She layed down on the towel next to mine and watched him run to the water, dive in and come running right back
out when he realized how cold it was.
He came over and started wrestling with me when we were all laughing but that was pretty much normal considering
I was usually the one who messed with him.
He finally got tired and flipped over in between Eleanor and me, and even though she was smiling to him, I
could see the frown in her eyes. Not that it mattered because we were still pretty much hiding ourselves
from the world, the parts about her and me anyway.
"Hey Frankie? Isn't that Kevin and Nick coming out of the water now?" I asked, knowing this would get him
back to running down the beach.
Which is exactly what he did, yelling "KEVIN! NICK!".
I scooted a bit closer to Elen without anyone noticing and ran my hand over hers. She looked over and smiled
until she saw my dad looking at us a bit funny, then we both rolled over onto our stomachs and fell asleep under
the sun.
It always seemed warmer on the beach, even in colder weather, because the sun can shine right on you and keep
you warm as can be, at least until you have water dumped on you.
"Hey guys! Lets go swim again before we leave!" Nick called, laughing with Kevin.
"Oh, We'll swim alright." I yelled back, running after them with Elen right behind me.
"So, what's the plan?" she asked.
"I'll take Kevin, you take Nick." I told her, causing her to frown. "What?"
"I think I should take Kevin, He would let me win." she grinned.
"Ok. Then I'll take Nick." I smiled.
When we reached the water we took a few steps in and then right before diving we grabbed hands and while under,
following the others, we locked lips.
We stopped, giving them a bit more of a lead, and just held each other close, something we'd both been itching to do.
We let our tongues play while our hands roamed each other's bodies, if only for a few moments. We had to pull away
and keep going when the other two stopped and turned around, looking for us.
We took this as the perfect opportunity to grab their legs and pull them under while they couldn't see us.
I looked over after I'd accomplished my dunking and noticed Elen and Kevin having another little chat, but I didn't
have time to go over and find out because at that momen, Frankie attacked me from behind, and Nick from the front
so they could get me under the water.
Kevin: So, when and where are you guys going tonight?
Eleanor: What do you mean?
Kevin: I know that after what you guys must have done and after how little you got today, there is no way Joe is just
going to let you go home for the night.-he grinned but she just shook her head.
Eleanor: I don't know. We haven't talked about it really.
Kevin: Ahh, so he's gonna spring it on you later. Well, be prepared, he's probably going to take you somewhere later.
Elen just smiled and dunked him again before trying to swim over to me as backup.
Unfortunately, she was stopped halfway by Kevin, who pulled her under and started over to help me for the sake of
dunking me himself.
You could just feel the love, couldn't you?
