@7375U0 There are a few Spiders that hunt on water in the UK. Such as Wolf Spiders (Lycosids) - Pirata sp. and some Pardosa sp. Raft Spiders are found on very specific habitat - D. fimbriatus in swampy marsh/ bogs - this one on Heathland, or the protected by law D. plantarius found in ditches on the Fens.

I'm not particularly afraid of spiders, but seeing a spider walking on water is pretty disturbing.
