    no, this is a different species, melaleuca quinquenervia. it was introduced over a hundred years ago by farmers to 'drink up' the water in the wetlands in order to be able to farm more land in the everglades.

  • This is not the same as Melaleuca Tree that produces the Oil that has vase medicinal value ?
