Lego Projectile Firing Machine

This machine has 2 PF M-Motors geared up 2:3 with 40T gears at the outputs. The Flywheel is on a 12M Axle and has 8T gears on each end, giving a further 5:8 RPM Increase. The Motors are joined with 2 connected 10M Axles to keep both sides balanced.
When the flywheel is at the correct speed, the Operator then stops the motors with the PF IR Remote Control and the Flywheel's Inertia makes it roll along the top of the 40T Gears and fly through the air, landing with a crash on some more Lego. It is not as yet NXT controlled. I might make Version 2 with either converter cables or the Lego IR link which I've just ordered and should come this week.

Try making something where the base is flat and the wheel is spiining above it and then you can slide small pieces underneath.
