The Ffestiniog Railway - Porthmadog - 22/08/11

A few shots of The Ffestiniog Railway filmed around Porthmadog and Boston Lodge.

Locomotives featured in this video are:

- Double Fairlie 0-4-4-0T no.10 'Merddin Emrys'
- Hunslet 2-4-0STT 'Linda' (Recently returned to service after a seven year overhaul)
- CH Funkey & Co Ltd Bo-Bo Diesel 'Vale Of Ffestiniog'

Shots included in this video are:

- 'Merddin Emrys' seen along The Cob after departing Porthmadog then seen passing us at Boston Lodge.
- 'Linda' arriving from Blaenau Ffestiniog passing Boston Lodge then as she is seen in the distance she gives off a nice long whistle.
- 'Linda' is then seen at Porthmadog waiting to depart, then with a few slips makes her way out of Porthmadog sounding lovely.
- Something we weren't expecting to see, 'Vale Of Ffestiniog' is seen crossing Britannia Bridge and arriving into Porthmadog from Pont Croesor to change crews.

Very nice! Where did you park for those shots at Boston Lodge? Did you walk along the Cob? It always rains when I go there :(
