Yeah, BM is still very much in Beta. I'm sticking with SL, too, as I'm very much invested in there! But I'm also still very much looking forward to watching BM develop :)

Can you tell us more about your pc, operating system, graphic card, and RAM? You must have a very good system to be able to navigate around like this easily. I have done photo shoots in New Venice but I cannot move around as much.
