  • Well I've ditched the mondeo now and invested in a 2002 plate S60 T5, got a remap from RICA and it bent the needle at 160 MPH, was 250 BHP now 310 BHP. it's a joke in first and second, It will spin third too on a slight bend at 70 mph +. cars with more than 200 Bhp should always be rear or AWD. I'm saving for an S60R, 300 BHP AWD, 330 BHP with the rica remap. Watch this space!

  • I speedometer is not reliable, especially at such high speeds.

  • +/- 5%. ford stats are 139. I've had 145 but not filmed it and the rev limiter stopped me from more. K&N plus Blufin Remap. EST 188 BHP

  • ive had one of these cars in past and they sit quite easy and relaxed at 140mph

  • I guess that is actually something like 130mph, not 140.

    GPS-meter would be nice ^.^

  • @rudeboymick thas how i take my roundabouts :

  • ive had 145+ in mine and it was still going, standard 2002 engine

  • @gazzaaziz I got my mk6 Escort 1.8 16v zetec up to 140mph once, going downhill, about 130mph on the flat.

  • @gazzaaziz Unless ur car is modded the top speed for a 1.8 mondeo is 128MPH.....

  • oh comon buy the ST220 mondeo

I love the look and the ride and the V6 :)~

  • look up lift-off oversteer. when you let off the throttle, the car slows, so the weight is transferred to the front wheels, giving them more grip. The rear wheels now have less weight acting on them, so they have less grip, and if you were anywhere near the limit of lateral grip when you let off, you'll go sideways.

  • why would u go sideways if u let off the throttle mid corner?
