@MsLabMom I don't believe it's a fair argument for people to make. I'm getting a new puppy in a few weeks, though. Yes, a MUTT, for anyone out there that's curious. Not because I want a cute designer dog that I can 'aww' over and then abandon... I want a long-term, loving dog who is as healthy and happy as possible, so that both the dog and I can have the best quality of life (The owners needs should be kept in mind too). Saying that, if I could bring every shelter dog home, I absolutely would.

@emy0ox Buying any dog doesn't mean you are killing a shelter dog. If you want a puppy from a breeder, then get one!

@Scottevil619 Agreed. People argue that mutt breeders only care about money and not the puppies - I'm against all bad breeders myself who don't get the necessary health checks and are only in it for money, but that goes for people who breed purebreds too! People also argue that every mutt you buy, you are killing a shelter dog, but isn't that the case with purebreds too? I buy mutts from breeders the same reason people buy purebreds from breeders, To meet the parents, check healthchecks etc.
