Murrayfield, Edinburgh - November 26, 2005.
New Zealand completed an historic 'grand slam' of the home nations after a hard-fought win over a battling Scotland side at Murrayfield.
Scotland claimed an early lead through a Chris Paterson penalty but the All Blacks took control with tries from Rico Gear, Nick Evans and Sione Lauaki.

Scotland kept New Zealand at bay for most of the second half but Gear sealed the win with his second try.

But the Scots got the try they deserved when Simon Webster dived over late on.

New Zealand have also become the first team since Australia in 1984, and the first All Blacks side since 1978, to complete the 'grand slam'.

It also caps a superb year for Graham Henry's men who also defeated the Lions 3-0 this summer as well as winning the Tri-Nations.

  • that one Scottish person ;LL

  • :D

  • thanks for the upload!

  • @diriven mate, even if Evans is a superior player to Donald, I give him the benefit of the doubt as he scored the 3 points that actually won us the world cup, under utterly massive pressure, I see what you're saying, but here in NZ now he's somewhat of a rugby legend.

  • Gj man for posting the game.Really appreciate the effort!

  • Carter out, Slade out...ABs have brought in Cruden and Donald...Cruden sure, but there's no way Donald is a better FH than Nick Evans. I know the rule about overseas players, but he would be a massive boost for them.

  • @zZMCHUNTAZz they still do like against england yesterday in the rwc they kicked twice while being in england 22, JUST KEEP IT IN HAND

  • What a great game! Thanks for posting!
