This movie is only worth it for the villians in it. I bought it only so I could re watch the villian's idiot henchmen and the Octopus's humor :D Silk n' Floss is great too!

I thought this movie was Great, i mean Honestly they used old school comic book humor. And the charisma between the spirit, and the octopus was great haha

Sorry bud, but this movie wasn't even close to good. Don't even blame it on the fact that everyone's comparing it to ironman and the dark knight..it was a plain and simple bad movie.

This movie is hugely under-rated. It's biggest mistake was opening in the same year as Dark Knight and Iron Man, with fans thinking that's the only way a super-hero movie could be made. If this movie got released 5 years earlier? Much different reception.

The Spirit is a short, fun movie with awesome style and visuals. While it has very little in common with the comic, it stands on it's own.

This movie i wanted to love so much, yet i hated it every minute i was watching it. However, because of its visual style, i bought the movie and to me it is an example of

"How a movie can have such a great cast, great visuals, and a great premise, but suffers from utter stupidity and no plot."

Thought it was awful as I was watching it but it is actually growing on me. I think I'll need to see it one more time before I make my final judgment on it.

Considering that the Spirit was created in the '40s and his origin was basically the same in the movie (minus the Octopus injecting him with magic shit) I don't think it could be at all considered a rip off of "The Crow". Although I will say that I understand where you can find similarities.
