@MarkBade thaaaaaaaaaaaaat explains the anomoly. i hate to sound elitist (which i am) but i just dont dig american rock. its usually so, so, so, whats the best term? redneck? usually very noisy, lost of guitar wanking and not melodic. but bright eyes has surprised me.

@blackpassenger the lead singer's first album was a cure best of/singles...might explain some good things

Saw them tuesday night in Louisville, such an incredible show! They sound so great live! Met Conor after the show! Me: "how about a handshake?" Conor looks up at me, then comes in for a hug! Incredible show, amazing night!

@ihearthowardmoon to be quite honest, you are very very right. I have been living under a rock in japan for the last 10 years and yes, i do need to listen to more music. but i guess i have an aversion for the 'american' sound and an affinity for the 'brit' sound. im of the shoe gazer (ride, the telescopes, the high, my bloody valentine etc) generation
wow, is this band american? they have a very uk sound. if they are americans, I am utterly shocked to hear such beautiful sound coming from an american rock band. most def manchester influenced.
