I can't believe you think this looks cool!!!! that horse and/or rider could've been seriously injured or killed. I agree with @1337ballin. it is REALLY hard for a jockey to control or even try to stop a horse going that fast. I have seen accidents where there have been injuries or deaths. you make me sick.

@crazyness525 you know what would be an interesting subsitute to horse racing? riderless horse racing. Have numbers strapped to the horses necks and have them training in speed, stamina, to follow the herd or like "the bunny" like in dog racing, and have them run on their own. maybe do it with wild mustangs? they already have the herd skills right down

@InvestmentAdviceOnli well us humans are smarter and we can have crutches and listen to the doctor beter. Horses dont listen to the rules about not putting any pressure on their feet or anything, they cant walk really and get depressed, and they get lame, putting more problems. Horses just dont really heal well from leg injuries

@Tinkerhorse1 they are really trainined to run. just run. try to get infront of the herd. A good racehorse is a social, herd leader. A horse that when he sees a bunch of horses running together, that he wants to go infront of them and lead them.

@xxTraditionalsxx its cool, and sad. Its cool how things like that can happen. but the outcome is sad.
-
@XenaGem It would disqualifie them if they did that. So its unlikely it was on purpose

@Bosphorus32 how about you?

@MrItaliano1900 Amen.
Because the jockey is supposed to instantaneously stop a 1 ton horse going 35-40 mph to ask if the other jockey is ok??? Idiot. The jock that caused the spill did a horrible job at keeping his horse straight. That shit should never happen.
