so how abou u start from scratch like installing the tarball then actually opening glade. ud b suprised how many c++ programmers dont know how to open glade in linux.

@80aless it's an editor called geany, sudo apt-get install geany. all links should be in the video information box which is currently below the video (used to be on the right of it)

Thanks for tutorial. I didn't see in your provided info which of the many many C++ source files at the gnome gtkmm tutorial site you are using. It appears that you may be using the code at Example 24.2.1 at that site. If you have time to confirm that and post back here it should help a whole lot of ppl. Thanks again for tutorial.

@have2eat yup, that's correct. the site has changed a bit since then, but the code should be relatively the same, i'll add the link to the video description.
