I assume the *beep beep beep* is the test system telling you there's been a problem. It'd be hard to detect with out it.

A "blade out" test has nothing to do with birds. It's a test designed to test the engines ability to stay together in the event a fan blade comes loose and jams the engine up. In the test they wire a mini explosion that pops the blade out which in this case is that brightly colored one you see at the start.

This proves one thing that we already new, birds don't belong in jet engines.
