  • This hit by Andy Williams was the 77th #1 song on Billboard's Easy Listening charts. This chart is now known as the Adult Contemporary charts. This was AW's second #1 song on this chart. It also hit #33 in the United Kingdom.

  • this vocal was cowritten by Mancini and Livingston-Evans team

for the 1966 movie "What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?"

Mancini also does an instrumental version on the film score soundtrack LP that has a Bert Kaempfert feel to it and he honors BK in the liner notes > > "with the instrumental version I give a deep bow to my friend and colleague, Bert Kaempfert"

I always thought this tune plays to lathargic and needs to be played faster

  • Thank You, Eternal Father for this great song through Andy Williams. Thank you for posting. God bless you abundantly.

  • I saw them both at Oklahoma State in the late 60's. The house was packed and they were great.

  • Ahhhh Andy Williams, what can I say ?I just love him,he always makes me smile ,he is so relaxing to listen too and his voice and music are timeless, wonderful ,thank you

  • Maybe the best voice ever. But most people in Germany, where I live, only know Sinatra.

  • food to the soul

  • some "evolve" with the times, some don't want to, like you, me...

well i listen to modern crap, but not every crap, just the shiny polished pieces of shit
