Pro-Death Penalty English Project

Okay, for everyone who has been commenting on this video I appreciate the criticism, but this is starting to get a little too much. This was just a little video I did last minute in order to get credit. I did not actually do that much research on this stuff. I was only a sophomore in high school then. So please, take it a little easy on me. I'm still for the death penalty but you don't have to break down every little thing I say and tell me I'm wrong. And I really don't like the "death threats" I've been getting just because I think child molesters and rapists should get the death penalty. Thanks for all the views though! I've never gotten this many on a video before. Have a nice day everyone. :)

Nice. My final paper for AP English is about the death penalty and I'm arguing for the death penalty. The point you make in this video is the same point I make in the paper. I present tomorrow on it, so I'm glad I watched this. Thanks for posting this and hopefully you get an A on this project =)

Dear me young lady what a narrow minded view you have. Executing a criminal will not solve the problem it never has and never will. In England they used to hang you for stealing horses, trouble was it didn't stop people stealing horses! You might like to read quotes by Albert Pierpoint Britain's most prolific hangman. please think seriously about the reality of these things before you post, and in answer to your question no I would not go and kill in revenge. I have met and spoken to many family members of victims who say that the death penalty has prolonged their suffering and they would have preferred the killer to be given life!

That’s just in the US, China execute up to 5000 a year, some of which are children, many of which have never been charged with a crime all so that their organs can be sold on the black market! When asked why they execute they point to the US and say they do it!

all those places supporting the death penalty provide countries with terrible human rights records an excuse to do so!

I suggest you do some research perhaps go on the Amicus and Reprieve sites to see just how the death penalty works in reality. Many people are charged with crimes that have no connection with the offence at all, such as the defendant had the same car and that’s why they executed him!

Death sentences are handed down so that judges can be seen as 'tough on crime' as they are publicly voted for; a majority of the defendants are black being tried by all white juries.

I understand that you have your opinions and obviously thats fine however it is a shame when a girl who seems quite intellegent posts a video about such a controversial subject, having no idea about it at all!

the whole video is flawed as the death penalty does not act as a deterrent what so ever and many studies have been done on this issue with not one proving it to have a detterent effect.
