Once the micro encapsulation process has occurred, the concern over emulsion breaking becomes irrelevant. The reason for first forming an emulsion with OIL SOLUTIONS Step 1 is to enable the water based OIL SOLUTIONS additive liquids to interact with the hydrocarbon to form the silica microcapsule that hold the contaminant. This process lasts less than one minute.

The only problem with this product you do not get rid of the toxic waste in no 2 heating oil BTEX components. This at some time will break emulsion. This is not a remediation product but a product specifically for encapsulating hydrocarbons.
