I find the 12ft/lb uk legal limit plenty for airguns. I use my HW77 .22 and BSA R10 .177 for barn work (ratting), roosting birds and various vermin out to about 40-50 yards depending and they work very well.
General comment: If you are looking at longer range stuff you really want to consider getting an FAC - If you shoot over land that is regularly challenging 12ft/lb ranges or if you are after bigger quarry it should be quite simple to get and FAC for .22LR/17HMR and/or a S/G certificate.
@bwianbiccus - very true , I took my HW 77 to be lubed and serviced to a pro gunsmith and after it chrono'd at 11.8 ft/lbs with AA fields , now ive gotta take it back shortly in case its crept passed the 12 ft/lbs barrier - bah !!!
God knows what we were using as kids cos me and all me mates had HW 35's with those god awful ox springs forced into them - ruined a few tasco scopes with that set up LOL
Looks cool enough but these days some of the little torches are up to spotlighting, Wolfeyes sniper with 260 lumens or the Rattlesnake? with 700 lumens, they'd blow your head off, both about $200 aust
Cool vid and great first effort - I see you have a Theoben .20 Eliminator - so do I and I need to sell it as I now use an Anschutz rimfire for rabbit control. Sad thing is, none of my local gun dealers here in Hampshire want to help me sell it - too unusual for them.
Hi, I have got a Gamo CFX .22. I was just wondering where you got that lamp from. It looks alright and would be way better the the little flashlights you get to mount on the scope or rail. Please reply with the make or model.
Beautiful rifle collection, I do like synthetic stocks but the walnut stock looks so classy. 5*
@howardmaryon Are you still looking to sell your Eliminator, probably long gone?
