Alice Horton Funeral - Full Episode

The funeral for Alice Horton (played by Frances Reid, who passed away on Feb 3, 2010) is set to air on June 23, 24 and 25. During this time, viewers will be pleased to see some of their favorite old characters return to pay their respects to Alice. But unless you've been watching the show for several decades, some of the characters may be unfamiliar.

Here's a list of who will be returning and a brief history to help with any confusion:

Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattillo): Technically, Lucas's character hasn't left the show. He's just working in China...for a very, very long time. Bryan Dattilo exited Days in December but played the role of Lucas for years. He is the father of Will and Allie, daughter of Kate Roberts DiMera and Bill Horton and ex husband of Chloe, Sami and Nicole.

Carrie Brady (Christie Clark): Carrie is Roman and Anna's daughter. She is married to Austin Reed (for the second time) and was also married to Mike Horton. Carrie was best known for her conflict with half-sister Sami over Sami's obsession with Austin. She left the show in 1999 but returned briefly in late 2005 to 2006.

Laura Spencer (Jaime Lyn Bauer): Laura was married to Mickey Horton and Bill Horton and is the mother of Jennifer and Mike. When Laura caught Bill cheating on her with Kate Roberts (Bill is Lucas's father), she was committed to a mental institution where she remained in a catatonic state. Laura left the show in 2000 and is presumed to be in Africa. Expect tension at Alice's funeral if she runs into Kate or Bill.

Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves): Jennifer was a big part of the show from until her exit in . She was best known for her on again, off again marriage to Jack Devaraux. Melissa is Laura's daughter and Alice's granddaughter. She and Jack have a grown daughter, Abby, and a son, Jack Jr. Melissa left Days in 2006.

Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow): Mike is Laura and Bill's son and Jennifer's sister. He is a doctor who was once married to Carrie Brady. He was also chief of staff at SalemHospital. He left the show in 1999 while married to Carrie.

Marie Horton (Maree Cheatham): Marie is Tom and Alice's youngest daughter, Bill and Mickey's sister, Hope's aunt, and Nick Fallon's grandmother (via daughter Jessica Blake). She is a nurse and a former nun. She was married to Craig Merritt and Neil Curtis and had daughter Jessica with Alex Marshall. Marie left the show in 1985, returning in 1994 for her father's funeral.

Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans): Kayla is the daughter of Shawn and Caroline Brady, is married to Steve Johnson, and is Stephanie's mother. She was married to Jack Devaraux briefly in the 80s, but Steve was always her true love. She resided in Salem from 1986 to 1992, returning from 2006 to 2009 when she reunited with Steve and had another baby with him.

Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease): Kimberly is Shawn and Caroline's daughter who has been mentioned recently as the recipient of Bo's bone marrow and the reason he has been in LA. Kimberly has quite the past, once working as a prostitute and for the ISA in Europe and struggling with multiple personality disorder. She was married to Shane Donovan and had two children with him. Kimberly left Salem in 1992 but has returned several times for family events.

Melissa Horton (Lisa Trusel): Melissa is the adopted daughter of Mickey and Maggie Horton and Nathan Horton's mother. She was once engaged to Jack Devaraux, was married to Pete Jannings and was once accused of trying to kill Kayla Johnson (but had really just found her near death). Melissa left the show in 1988 but returned in 1994 for Tom's funeral and 2009 for Mickey's funeral.

Thanks so much for uploading this. Watching this makes me cry. Frances Reid was such a wonderful woman. I have watched Days as long as I can remember. Alice Horton was like everyone's grandmother. GOD BLESS HER!!

It's great to see the old characters again. NBC was kind to reunite everybody like this in the sad funeral. Francis Reid is such a kind woman I wish I had met in my lifetime. She is like everybody's grandmother and it's sad they go so soon. At least she'll be reunited with the man in Tom Horton now after a good long life.

This storyline was written beautifully just as Alice and Francis both were!! Its still strange not to flip Days on and see her on occasions...You're fans miss you!

@landrykkb I agree, although Hope is still alive and just as guilty as Bo for being an ass, at least Kayla thought Steve was dead before she ended up with Shane. I think if Hope were dead (again LOL), Kayla would have been a little more understanding.

Doesn't Kayla sound hypocritical criticizng Bo for being with Carly and not Hope?Setting up house with your brother-in-law is not any better,as she did with Shane after her husband Steve had supposedly died many years earlier.
