@halo199393 Make sure that you are using Maya Hardware Renderer. Or what you can do is that you can make nParticles instead of standard particles. I hope that helps you.

in the end when you made it curve.....when i tried to do this it didnt make too much of a difference...is there any other way to do this?

@mszombie1000 It doesn't curve because when you move the emitters to the side, you probably move the vortex field with them. Do not move the vortex field with the particle emitters. The vortex field must stay in the middle of the grid.

please help me,when i try to change the gravity to -30 i get "//Error : No Object Matches Name: "and so my objects are not going up and scattering in different directions and same error is for the vortex.

@anmol2194 Make sure that you have the particles selected before you add the gravity. If it still doesn't work, try exiting Maya and going back in. If you still have trouble, let me know.
