A brief look at one of the worlds most amazing countries. A rough guide to Nepal takes you from the capital Kathmandu to the Himalayan mountains and the towering Mount Everest.

More info -

I spent three months working in Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, as a volunteer at an orphanage/school, living with a Nepali family. In this time i saw and did so many amazing things and was lucky to capture some on video. Like climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp, a 14 day hike. The mountains you see in the film are Everest and the surrounding summits.
My aim with this film was to highlight the poverty that the majority of the people face, but focus on the amazing attitude its people has regardless of their situation. Nepali's really are an amazing people.
After learning so much about the culture, its people and its language, i hope to return in the near future to work on a documentary that looks deeper into this wonderful country.

  • i could live on two dollars day if beer cost 5 cents...a bus 10 cents..all comparitive to some extent isnt it?

  • A beer costs in fact 125 rupees (around 2 dollars) a bus into the city costs 30 rupees (60 cents). Education is not free, health care is not free - any which way you look at it its not a life we can imagine.
