Little Flower College

Taking into consideration the necessity and the scope for a womens college in South Malabar, Little Flower College was started at Guruvayoor on 1st July 1955 as a Second Grade College. It was raised to a first grade college with the commencement of B.Sc Mathematics and B.A Economics Courses in March 1957. Although the college started under the University of Madras, it was later affiliated to the University of Kerala in June 1957 and subsequently to the University of Calicut in July 1968. Little Flower College is a Christian College established and administered by the Assisi Province of the Franciscan Congregation and coming under the religious jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Thrissur. Though a minority college meant primarily for Catholics, it is open to students of all castes and creeds.
