The voice, the great Punkuj Mullick, is of someone whom the great K.L. Saigal, called him his" guru" and the great Lata-ji has beautiful words for him in her "Sharadhanjali", as also for Zohra Bai and the equally great singer, Amir Bai; I wish the immortal Lata-ji would have said only a word for the "silken" voice - the great Talat Mahmood (of course, she she didn't forget Rafi sb.!, Thanks to her)>

where is prem ka nata choota from this movie?

@tapan1947 just go to Saigal Page, where you will find each and every song of Saigal, Pankaj Mullick and KC Dey. You will find Audios, Videos, lyrics, photographs, along with many other details. I am sure many songs over there would make you relive so many moments with your dad. You will also find "Mere Hathile Shyam", that you mentioned. Your name suggests you are a Bengali. Listen also to the Bangla songs by these artists.

Dear Pankaj jee; Your songs give a lovely, refreshing cick every time. I used to hear you sitting in high altitude Forward Defended Localities of Shamsha Bari Ranges of Kashmir, where there was a perfact natural sielence and my Telefunken Radio made your songs float in Pine trees. Love you man, thanx . you gave me so much and nothing to loose !

This is a superb song in every single way but the repetition of SAVEREY SAVEREY is so emotive and nostalgic. Whither those genuine artists?

Mere hasseen shah,....o bhagne wale tujhe rukna hi padhega, mujhko uthane ke liye jhukna hi padhega, zakhmi hoon, zakhmi hoon,... tu sab se bada aur main tujhe bhi bada hoon, thokar laga de main tere raste pe khada hoon.
My late father used to sing this song.last time I heard it was in 1959-60 in my school SPV,Lodi Estate,New Delhi during varsha mangal program sung by a gifted senior singer.
