@muybridge54 Just because Disney wants Aladdin to be in Arabia doesn't mean Terrytoons has to! And besides, these cartoons are a lot better than cartoons today!
From wikipedia: The original story of Aladdin is a Middle-Eastern folk tale. It concerns an impoverished young ne'er-do-well named Aladdin, in a Chinese city, who is recruited by a sorcerer from the Maghreb (...) Although Aladdin is a Middle-Eastern tale, the story is set in China, and Aladdin is explicitly Chinese. However, the "China" of the story is an Islamic country (...) Some commentators believe that this suggests that the story might be set in Turkestan.
Since when does "Aladdin's Lamp" take place in China?! Yet another reason why Terrytoons were at the bottom of heap when compared to the other animation studios!
Cómo me gustaba ver al Ganzo Gandy y sus sueños locos! Yo no me perdía esas caricaturas por el canal 2 de Santo Domingo todas las tardes de los años 1979-80.
CBS bought Paul Terry's studio (and his cartoon library) in late 1955, 'Disney'. The studio eventually closed by 1971, but the "inventory" is still under their ownership.

@muybridge54
The original story on Arabian nights takes place in China, not in Arabia
