It's pitiful how much better the American Gothic songs sound when they're not suffering horrible production quality. This made me both very happy and very sad T_T

I couldn't agree more with you. Billy has got to get away from the current fascination with mastering a CD as loud as possible. It is amazing how good music sounds when it is not compressed to hell.

I think people give billy too much hell. I am going to buy Zeitgeist and EP American Gothic, Songs For A Sailor, and The Solstice Bare. I put it off because I have heard all of the criticism those CDs but no more...I will decide if they're good or bad.

@alzeppelin I completely agree with you, as well. To this day, I still can't get over how bad Zeitgeist sounds to me. The music is good, but the production pains my ears. I love the "real" sound of music like this much more than the synthesized and over-produced quality most musicians lean towards.
