Remington MB-900 High Precision "Washable" Mustache and Beard Trimmer

In 2008 I bought Remington MB-900 High Precision "Washable" Mustache and Beard Trimmer for relatively large amount of money ("It will be for years" - I thought) . After 2 years and 2 months ( 2 yrs guarantee - coincidence? ;-) ) it began to work irregularly and finally died.

This is what I saw after de-assembly:
- Wet.
- Rust and other mysterious oxides.
- General corrosion.

The above leads to:
- Completely destroyed power module.
- Damaged motor.
- Useless batteries.
- My infinite wrath!

And I was NOT diving with it ;-) It had contact with water only while BLADE WASHING.

Conclusions:

There is 2 catch at the white battery housing. use a small screw driver to ply it a little and you will get it remove.

Ok, I figured out how to open the Remington mb-900 (as seen in video). I took a chisel, put the chisel tip in the gap between the base (part that goes in charger) and body (part with the on/off switch) and gently rotated the chisel. The two separated without too much force.

Now I need the tabbed NiCd AA batteries to come in from amazon and it should run like new, hopefully.

Mine was not rusted like the one in the video.
