Wicked Commercial

me and my friends love Wicked. In fact, this is just the start of a series of vids ill be making, in the future u will see me and a friend take on the roles of Galinda and Elphaba and do lil mini scenes and commercials from Wicked. We are not trying to make money off of this, we're only doing it for fun. the main artwork is from the UK production of Wicked. please be critical so we can improve as we go.

i've seen well, better. check out fredalltheway broadway trailer fake then you'll see a trailer. this was okay. it was just i don't think "what is this feeling" explains the story. but besides that, it was good. (no offence if i offended you)

ok so for everyone's asking is it gonna be a movie or not? and the answer is:

1.) There is gonna be a Walt Disney prequel to the Wizard of Oz titled "Oz, the Great and Powerful" it mainly focuses on how the wizard came to be but includes glinda and the wicked witch of the west. However they changed the witch of the west's name from Elphaba to Theodorah (which i think is a really dissrespectful and pathetic attempt to avoid copyright)

2.) I doubt the movie will follow the story of the musical

i love wicked ALOT but personally it would not transition well, the dramatic affect of her levitation and of flying in a bubble, if recreated with special effects and stuff on camera would simply not have the same effect. Things like the dragon and sets are so amazing onstage and live that trying to recreate that on camera would do it no justice

Yes they just want the musical to become as big as it can then they will make it into a movie but not for years to come

i read something that said in a few years once it has settled they are going to make it a movie

eventually, but no plans are being made as of now.

Universal owns the rights, because they were originally planning on a movie of the book, but then thought "hey, what about a musical?" And this was born.

But no plans of a musical movie or a movie at all, are in motion right now.
