No you dont drill stupid holes you cut out like a 6" square out of the airbox it doesnt damage the airbox in any way I did an air box mod and replaced the old filter with a K&N to my mk3 jetta GL 5spd. took like 45 mins to do it right. PM me if you want detailed steps. for any mk3 jetta/ golf 1991-1999
nice man. im thinking about doing this to my gti vr6. im just not entirely sure how to do it. also, when i unplugged my airbox in the first place to inspect it, i plugged it back in and now my emissions and check engine light came on. the temporal sensor is fine i am just at a loss. anybody?
