@RepublicConstitution I forget the reason for my posting, I think it was linked somewhere and someone was making a false argument about the issue. Nevertheless, I never made the claim that there "weren't" Atlantic crossings nor that corn wasn't grown to some degree in the Old World or Egypt. What I did in fact say was that this "particular" evidence is very weak. He would know more than me on the subject, but I can look at evidences & claims of the sides with my own eyes and judge for myself.

This is actually kinda "bad" scholarship. 1. Most of the depictions are likely wheat, the ones that aren't could be some other vegetable. 2. The few depictions that might actually "be" corn, the answer to that is simple. They were the PHAROHS..... Of course they would have access to foods and other items that the general populations of that continent didn't have, and it's already well know that other populations DID NOT have corn. PERIOD.
