gm bought the duramax motor from isuzu thats true but u left out chevy kept the block scraped the rest and made a great motor o and chevy never owned that jap company

If you lower your front end and raise you rearend when pulling you'll get better results! Trust me you want to hook as high as possible!!

@TooPerfekt Cummins owns Cummins. They're publicly traded. Ford barely owns Ford.

Wish I owned a dmax but ive got is a Chev 2500 hd and in 10 years the only things ive replaced are the u joints and tires from horsin around in the foothills I love my Chev

Duramax is a joint venture between isuzu and GM, should say was, it is 100% owned by GM now. The motor was built off of an isuzu platform, but designed by engineers working for Duramax Ltd. I wonder too if he was running Efi, with it and several other mods one guy ran mid 12s with a stock turbo, but your right, still an impressive truck.

were you running EFI live when you took this video? cuz mid-high 12's is the norm now days with efi, lift pump, built trans etc...but none the less badass truck!

@firemanjoe427 GM does not own Isuzu, Duramax is designed by Isuzu for GM.....

It runs a 12.7 now on a stock turbo. Bring that Cummins out - wait, you probably don't even own a diesel.
