a fantastic version of "Mistreated" by the GREAT MARK IV..!!...have no doubts about it my friends, I'm a huge Tommy Bolin fan and know Tommy's playing when I hear it...Mark IV had it's ups and downs but when they were ON they Rocked and Ruled!!!...Coverdale's vocals are superb and Tommy's playing very soulfull...:) I love early classic purple too, but this is clearly NOT ritchie...so glad to hear this again, thanks for posting ~

@platythebum David Coverdale started Whitesnake, one of the first true metal bands, and while he wasn't the same range of hughes, nor the same range or quality of Gillan, doesn't mean he's a bad singer. he's limited, but still good.

@platythebum please man, no one could sing mistreated like coverdale...

glenn and tommy bolin really great. they live the times and rocks.
-
no matter what other genres I get into,(a lot of hip hop recently) classic rock will always be my favourite. nothing beats it.

@dockaiser Oh, I am a fan of Steve Morse. I have been playing guitar for a very long time. A friend who was back then very advanced in playing and knowing great musicians turned me on to The Dixie Dregs. The song Cruise Control blew me away. Been a fan of his since back then. Ritchie is a prude. Steve is very cool. I agree. I apologize for offending. I just liked what Blackmore did for Purple in the 60's and 70's. I got vids of Steve with DP. Great stuff! I do like all of it.Ted The Mechanic!#1

Live in london me thinks. Purple with bolin never played mistreated. with coverdale acutally saying at the time he missed singing the song because they dropped it from their set

whats the deep grief boot like sound quality wise? is it worth getting a copy? thanks!

Look, for a Bootleg the sound quality its pretty good, and my advice, well, its a worth hearing.
Also, the video says MK IV cause, also i kno' what Blackmore isnt in the band in that times, was the line-up for that time, with Tommy Bolin.

Coverdale never could sing. Look up a Rainbow version of this song with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. He sings it so much better. I wish they would've let Glenn Hughes sing in stead of Coverdale.

Maybe its right...
But, for example, i wouldn't ask for 'soldier of fortune' sing by Dio or Hughes.
'Mistreated' and 'Soldier of Fortune' are songs made-for-coverdale.
If you want, see Mistreated made by Whitesnake in Donington 1983.
