  • @rhythmking10 Sure, I have that disk. I'll post a few from Where's Your Cup. I have Air Lore as well.....in fact there's very few Threadgill recordings I don't have......yet, LOL. Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoy my uploads.

  • @mfish618 Ive finally realised what this piece is, it originally appeared on the great Air Lore, Threadgill played it on flute, in the Sextett he reused the melody on cello its a lovely arrangement .

I have not heard X-75 sa rare album sounds interesting, love to hear the 1st track from "Where's Your Cup" the Make a Move quintet, I look forward to your future posts bye

  • @rhythmking10 I do have this one on CD, sorry to hear it's not on the vinyl. I'm glad you enjoyed it. My only Threadgill vinyl is X-75. As soon as I convert it to disk, I'll share some of it.

Sadly, Fred Hopkins passed on, so there's no chance of seeing the original Sextett line up now. I was fortunate enough to see Very Very Circus right after Spirit of Nuff was released. The entire band was in top form and couldn't have been more cordial and generous

  • @mfish618 well its interesting I have the original vinyl recording but this compositon is not on it, do you have the CD ? my regret is I will never get to hear this great band perform live

  • @rhythmking10 Indeed it is. Obviously Threadgill is my favorite composer. If you ever get a chance to see his troupe preform live, you'll be amazed. Interestingly the original Sextett was actually a septet.

  • hanks is this from the original album ? 80s Sextett like a mini orchestra

    Threadgill is a fantastic writer
